This sight has been a long time in the planning stages due to the fact that I was unsure of just what it was that I wanted and what you may enjoy and use. As I was sitting alone one evening, attempting to make a major decision; I realized that if I had been sitting around the old wood stove with my father, the choice that I had to make that day would have been so much easier to arrive at. It was at this precise moment that I began having memories of the past with my father and his wisdom. Pops has been gone now for many years now and I miss him dearly. Many years ago a tradition was started in my fathers shop. It became the gathering place for friends and family to come visit, tinker and talk. Inside the shop was an old wood stove with plenty of chairs around it. Many an hour was spent just sitting around this stove telling tall tales, joking around, planning the next project and any other subject that was to come up. It was at this very same stove that I learned many things about life by opening up to my father and asking for his advice and guidance. I'm in my mid 40's now and I swear that even though he has been gone all of these years … He still has the wisdom that I need, even today. This sight is now a dedication to my father, who was affectionately called “Pops” by everyone that came to know him. His wisdom is carried through life by not only myself but many, many others also! So, please pull up a chair by the preverbal wood stove, enjoy yourself and share your knowledge and wisdom to others that are in need of it. |
